Master Sgt. Lawrence Robinson, 375th Air Mobility Wing Safety Office superintendent, is this week’s Showcase Airman. Lawrence also acts as the Occupational Safety Manager and has been charged with ensuring the inspection, assessment, and training for the 42,000 personnel and 900 structures on the installation meet or exceed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s standards. He created an innovative spreadsheet, allowing commanders to view the status of their last safety assessment in an easily-digestible format. Commanders now have the information necessary to ensure their units are not only performing the mission, but also doing so safely.  His team was also named as Air Mobility Command’s Occupational Safety Flight of 2018.

Senior Airman William Cox is this week’s Showcase Airman!  Cox, 375th Communications Support Squadron MAJCOM Server Administrator in the Mobility Operations Application Based System work center, is routinely a team leader.   Cox is responsible for semi-monthly security and maintenance operations of a 52 server web-hosting environment responsible for delivering 32 applications across the DoD. Cox has developed several workout plans as a PTL for use by the entire shop, elevating the flights average Fitness Assessment score above 90.  Cox served a six-month tour in the Base Honor Guard program completing 98 details.  The office regularly leans on Cox’s expertise and work ethic, he has never once failed to deliver and the base continues to benefit from his exemplary Air Mindedness.

Tech. Sgt. Justin Martin, 375th Operations Group unit deployment manager, is this week’s Showcase Airman!  Martin oversees the deployability and readiness of more than 520 members and 120 unit tasking codes that span six squadrons and two detachments. Over the past year, Martin has processed over 289 deployments to 71 countries. Martin also led the 375th OG in preparation for two mobility exercises, in which 120 personnel, 12 pallets, and nine reclaims were successfully processed with no discrepancies from the Inspector General. Additionally, he manages a $450,000 budget as the 375th OG government purchase cardholder and serves as one of three master resilience trainers for the 375th Air Mobility Wing.

Maj. Eric Butler, 54th Airlift Squadron C-40 pilot and Mission Support Flight commander, is this week’s Showcase Airman! Butler leads Airmen in executing seven diverse support functions for the Total Force Association under the 932d Airlift Wing’s executive airlift mission. His main focus for the past four months has been updating the Flight Attendant Operations Center. Butler led the charge in coordinating requirements with the 375the Contracting Squadron and the 932nd Civil Engineer Squadron. During implementation of phase one, which involved $69,000 of upgraded equipment and remodeling, there was no degradation to missions or training.

:  Senior Airman Dylan Wertz, 375th Communications Squadron, is this week’s Showcase Airman! Wertz has become known as a champion of innovation in his time at the network management office.  He led a team of three Airmen in decommissioning six servers, three uninterruptible power supplies, four web proxies, one tape backup drive, and one network switch in support of the NIPR boundary upgrade. The Scott AFB NIPR boundary had bandwidth limitations that governed the network to 1 GB.  Wertz was part of a team that analyzed the systems and eliminated equipment that was incapable of higher bandwidth. This boundary upgrade eliminated a bottleneck issue that allowed Scott AFB to participate in the Department of Defense Enterprise IT as a service initiative.

Airman 1st Class Allysa Diestro, 375th Force Support Squadron fitness specialist, is this week’s Showcase Airman.  Diestro assists with front desk operations at the Warmer Fitness Center where she is responsible for maintaining an $11 million facility, supporting 25,000 customers quarterly. Diestro also coordinates the Fitness Center’s 17 weekly group exercise classes with 10 different instructors and leads the installation’s showcase physical training program, contributing to the wing’s 94 percent pass rate. She was also key to this year’s Fall Festival success, serving meals to the more than 4,600 people.

Staff Sgt. China Ivie, 375th Medical Operations Squadron medical services flight chief, recently stepped in as the Medical Services Flight Chief, a master sergeant billet, leading 14 personnel to provide 5,300 specialty care visits valued at $90,000. A champion of wellness and physical fitness, she manages the unit’s fitness testing as unit fitness program manager for 155 Airmen, which has had a tremendous impact as the squadron’s excellent rate soared from 68 percent to 100 percent. Finally, she chaired the Team Scott staff sergeant release party, leading four committees with 85 tasks to make the event a memorable occasion for 100 selectees and 400 guests.
