Showcase Airman: Airman 1st Class Gabriela Keefe

Airman 1st Class Gabriela Keefe, 375th Security Forces Squadron line badges, is this week’s Showcase Airman. Keefe supports 38 facilities on Scott Air Force Base by issuing Restricted Area Badges to 10,500 customers annually. Her efforts in updating Air Force forms and memorandums for 236 security managers enabled security for key facilities and 10,748 joint personnel. Keefe responded to two medical emergencies, rendering first aid to a pregnant woman and a heart attack victim—preserving life for both people. Furthermore, Keefe crushed her initial Patrolman Duty Position Evaluation by scoring a perfect 100 percent, setting the standard for all flight personnel. Additionally, Keefe has dedicated her off duty time to professional development, earning a national certification for “Below 100,” a course that teaches law enforcement officers safety skills with a goal of bringing the national average of LEO deaths below 100 annually. Her efforts directly contributed to her flight winning “Flight of the Quarter” on two occasions, earning her “Defender of the Month” and her selection for Below the Zone promotion to senior airman.
