Airmen from the 375th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, in coordination with joint-service medical teams, executed a high-tempo Theater Aeromedical Evacuation System (TAES) exercise at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, May 12-16, 2025. The simulation tested patient movement operations across the Pacific in contested, resource-limited environments, integrating innovative technologies and real-world scenarios to sharpen medical response and mobility readiness. Scott strengthens aeromedical readiness with TAES exercise
Scott Air Force Base tested their Theater Aeromedical Evacuation System teams during an exercise that simulated what they could experience in the Pacific theater. From rapid patient assessments to seamless airlift operations, we’re honing the readiness needed to seize the competitive advantage. Teams were comprised of the Enroute Patient Staging (ERPS), Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) and traditional aeromedical evacuation (AE) personnel.

AEROMEDICAL EVACUATION
U.S. Airmen assigned to Scott Air Force Base participate in the Warrior Challenge at Scott AFB, Illinois, May 22, 2025. The semiannual event honors the legacy of the 155th Aero Squadron—America’s first night-bombing unit—which trained at Scott Field in 1918 before deploying to Europe.
