The exercise was executed without the assistance of local mission and community partners to test the capabilities of a field response team. The MARE simultaneously consisted of a simulated chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear incident and a major vehicle accident. The CBRN incident simulated an accidental release of Anhydrous Ammonia in the air, requiring an emergency response to conduct triage and decontamination efforts in the field as well transporting patients to the medical treatment facility for further care.
