Showcase Airman: Tech. Sgt. Brandon Wright

Tech. Sgt. Brandon Wright, 375th Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels management operations section chief, was recognized as a Scott AFB Showcase Airman. Wright developed an innovative process to refuel 64 Army Vehicles from the 502D Engineering Brigade. By establishing a direct refueling point, Wright cut refueling times in half. Wright not only reduced refueling time, but also enabled the reduction of commercial transportation contracting fees by $800,000, which allowed 165 Army troops to receive critical convoy training. This pivotal process allowed for the successful accomplishment of Operation Gauntlet 2018, which required service members to build a 600 meter bridge across Milford Lake at Fort Riley, Kansas to cross armored vehicles.
