Highlighting Airmen for their
Innovation, Communication and Excellence!
Senior Airman Megan R. Friedl, 375th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs Office photojournalist,
is this week’s “Showcase on ICE.” Friedl served as an honor guardsman supporting over 52 veteran funerals, has completed her Community College of the Air Force degree, and is the lead physical training leader for the Public Affairs team. She has helped push her entire shop to a 100 percent pass rate with an average of 89 percent. She volunteered to deploy in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and won Dorm Room of the Quarter. Friedl is personally requested to document many high-visibility events for the wing and its mission partners. She also serves as a social media editor and a member of Scott AFB's community relations team. She helped push the social media team to new heights with innovative communication techniques to transmit the commander’s message. This culminated with the 375th Public Affairs Office earning the top designation for the ‘Outstanding Social Media Presence for DoD’ in 2015. She has bolstered the Scott Air Force Base tour program to an increase of 300 percent from the previous year by recruiting leaders from the base, organizing schedules and ensuring first-class events for ROTC cadets in the St. Louis Metro area. She is an Airman leading Airmen.
