    Storm water management is an ongoing initiative under Scott Air Force Base’s Community Partnership P4 (public-public, public-private) Program. Base subject matter experts with the 375th Civil Engineer Squadron and federal agencies such as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife meet regularly with leaders in the industry, as well as local officials, to identify opportunities to improve water flow and mitigate flood risks throughout the region.

  • Scott AFB lockdown incident summary - Sept. 23

    Scott AFB Security Forces personnel apprehended a male suspect who was believed to pose a threat, which necessitated a temporary lockdown for the base. Security Forces received a call around 2:30 p.m. today from the Velda Police Department about an Air Force veteran with prior convictions who was believed to be armed and possibly dangerous. Security forces located and apprehended the subject without incident and the subject will be turned over to local authorities. An investigation is ongoing. We are proud of our Defenders for their professional response to ensure the safety of our people and the installation.
