ACTIVITY DISTRIBUTION OFFICE TRAINING - 20 JAN

375 AMW TRAINING DAYS - 23, 27 JAN
The 375th AMW will be conducting mandatory training on the following days as directed by AMC/CC: Monday, Jan. 23: Suicide Prevention Day; and Friday, Jan. 27: Safety Down Day. Areas with high customer service functions will be minimally manned to support the training, and/or only emergency work orders will be processed. You may experience some delays. A few specific notes:

-- The FSS will be minimally manned during both days. All appointments with the MPS (Force Management, Career Development, Customer Support) will be honored, but walk-in customers should expect delays.

-- MedGroup will honor all appointments and will schedule patients as normal.

-- Comm will be minimally manned from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Only emergency work orders will be serviced. Official mail services and the base EIM help deske will be closed. For emergency work orders, call 256-2666.


375 AMW MOBILITY EXERCISE - 24-25 JAN
The 375th AMW will be conducting a mobility exercise next Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 24-25. Some high customer service function may be minimally manned to support this effort. Thanks for your patience and understanding. Medical appointments will function as normal.

SEXUAL ASSAULT AWARENESS GUEST SPEAKER - 25 JAN
UNDERSTANDING CONSENT: Challenging Dynamics - Resilient Response 25 Jan at 1015 GRPC and 1300 at the Base Theater. Anne Munch, JD., is a former prosecuting attorney of over 22 years who has dealt with many cases of sexual assault and violence against women. She is also the co-author of USAF Bystander Intervention Program and will be speaking to Scott leadership and installation Airmen on the challenging dynamics that are involved in sexual assault cases especially when trying to determine consent. VERA/VSIP DEADLINE - 27 JAN
On 5 Jan 12, Round II VERA/VSIP surveys/applications were sent to all organizations which included a VERA/VSIP Fact Sheet and an Application Form. Civilian employees are encouraged to fully consider their separation options and validate their retirement eligibility before completing the VERA/VSIP application. Applications are due to 375 FSS/FSMCE NLT 27 Jan 12.

ROBIN HOOD EATERY CLOSURE - 28 JAN
Effective Saturday, January 28, the Robin Hood Sandwich shop in the Main Exchange food court will be permanently closing. Prepared sandwiches and soup will be sold through our Anthony's Pizza concept and fresh made sandwiches will continue to be available at the AMC Global Reach Exchange food court.

NCO PROFESSIONAL ENHANCEMENT SEMINAR - 30 JAN
The primary objective of this seminar is to fill the professional military education gap between Airman Leadership School and the NCO Academy. Students will learn about enlisted heritage, mentoring, team building, professional writing skills and how to apply these principles learned in their job on a daily basis.

At any one time in most households an average of 8 appliances are left on stand-by. In the average household the TV is left on stand-by for more than 17 hours a day. BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TRAINING: DEADLINE 1 MAY
Sexual Assault Bystander Intervention training is mandatory training for active duty Air Force personnel to include DoD civilians who supervise active duty Air Force. This training is required to be completed only once. (If you completed it in 2010 or 2011, you do not need to do it again) Training is offered at the Ed & Trng Bldg 1650 Rm 98 on TU, TH, and FRI. NATIONAL PRAYER BREAKFAST - 14 FEB
This year's National Prayer Breakfast will be held on 14 Feb at 0700 in the Scott Club. The cost is $8 for members and $10 for non-members. Registration can be done through the Chapel or online at

(https://einvitations.afit.edu/NPB2012/anim.cfm). The featured Guest Speaker is an acclaimed author and Jewish educator, Esther Jungreis. She will speak on the theme, "Spiritual Resiliency Amidst Life's Turmoil." Mrs. Jungreis is a Holocaust survivor, who now dedicates her life to promoting spiritual resiliency and moral/ethical values. She has published several best-selling books on these themes, entitled: "The Committed Life," "The Committed Marriage," "Life is a Test," and "Jewish Soul on Fire." In addition, her articles have appeared in Newsweek, Time, New York, and People Magazines. In 2006, President George W. Bush appointed her to the Board of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council in Washington, DC.

MAIN EXCHANGE CLOSURE - 22 JAN
On Sunday, Jan. 22, the Main Exchange will close for one day to conduct our store-wide annual physical inventory. During this closure, our food court (Taco Bell and Charley's Steakery) along with our Exchange concessionaires will continue to operate to serve the community. We will re-open at 0900 on Monday, Jan. 23. Our Military Clothing store will also be open 1100 to 1600 in support of Guard/Reserve Annual Training.

Help support the Air Force Mission by caring for the children of our Military and DOD civilian personnel while establishing a professional career for yourself.
