Showcase Airman - Airman 1st Class Javy Delgado
Airman 1st Class Javy Delgado, 375th Communication Squadron, is this week’s Showcase Airman. Delgado consistently shows the drive and motivation of a seasoned NCO and is always pushing for more responsibility. Delgado automated the additional duty tracking program for the squadron; creating automated emails based on letters when letters are near an expiration dates. His efforts is poised to cut 120 management hours per year across 65 squadron and group programs. Additionally, he stepped in as the squadron Ancillary Training manager; creating squadron reoccurring training rotation for squadron/Air Force level training requirements. This provides opportunities for 233 members to remain up to date. Furthermore, he completed six credit hours towards a medical degree, used to enhance Self Aid Buddy Care training. Finally, he is motivated to help others; he has dedicated 9 hours a week as run clinic instructor. His efforts helped improve 61 members run time by average of 1 minute per mile.
