Security Forces Active Shooter Training
The 375th Security Forces Squadron work with the 375th Medical Group for an active shoort exercise. Medical group teams applied moulage to "victims" before the exercise started and placed them around the Scott Event Center before the exercise started. The exercise helped security forces personnel identify any short falls or limiting factors in respone capabilities and gave them a chance to test and train new tactics and procedues. It also afforded security forces the opportunity to train with the other first responders (fire department and medical) to ensure they can work cohesivley to neutralize the threat, secure the scene and treat victims and casualties as soon as possible. The overall goal is to be prepared to respond efficienty and effectively to minimize the loss of life in the event of an active shooter.(U.S. Air Force photos/Senior Airman Tristin English)
