SDDC Change of Command

The Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command held a change of command ceremony June 16, 2016 at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. During the event, U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Susan A. Davidson relinquished command to U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Kurt J. Ryan. Ryan had previously served as the Chief of Ordnance and Ordnance School Commandant at Fort Lee, Virginia. As commander of SDDC, Ryan will lead nearly 2,400 military and civilian personnel responsible for planning and executing surface delivery of supplies and equipment in support of Department of Defense contingencies, exercises and humanitarian aid missions. Additionally, SDDC supports service members and their families by overseeing the shipment of their household goods and vehicles. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Jonathan Fowler)
