Showcase on ICE
Heather Braundmeier, 375th Aerospace Medicine Squadron Health Promotion Flight commander, is this week’s 375th Air Mobility Wing “Showcase on ICE.” Braundmeier is best known for establishing a six-week running clinic that has been proven to shave more than a minute off of individual run times for the Air Force physical fitness test. In just the first year alone, 113 active duty members participated in the program—more than half who had initially failed the run portion of the test. After the course, participants decreased their run time by 1 minute, 23 seconds. She’s been running this program for five years now and plans to continue this program long term. Because of her leadership, the flight’s results have demonstrated that the Running Clinic uses minimal resources and produces significant results on 1.5 mile run times.
