Staff Sgt. Melissa Barnes is this week’s 375th Air Mobility Wing “Showcase on ICE” Airman. Barnes is the 375th Dental Squadron’s NCOIC of Education and Training. She took over a broken, barely functioning program and morphed it into a stellar program showing exceptional results in just a four month period. She worked with supervisors and trainees to ensure that all core tasks were accomplished in a timely manner and documented, offering an accurate track record of on-the-job and skill level upgrade training. As the interim dental laboratory flight chief, she integrated American Dental Assistant Association requirements and continuing education into hands-on training for the enlisted and ancillary staff.
