ICE
Senior Airman Jacob Santiago, 375th Air Mobility Wing military justice paralegal, is this week’s ICE Airman. He was handpicked for several short-notice and remote assignments to provide legal services to families of deceased active-duty Airmen. As a vital member of the legal outreach program, he traveled to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, and assisted 50 deploying members by creating their wills and power of attorneys. Back at the base, he managed the wing’s discharge program, overseeing nine notifications and three discharge boards. He also managed the Article 137 Uniformed Code of Military Justice program and briefed 56 Airmen on their legal rights. In addition, he earned nine credits toward his MBA, maintaining a 3.9 GPA, while also taking an 84-hour logical reasoning course, which added to his litigation skills.
