ICE

Mark White, 375th Communications Support Squadron software project manager, is this week’s 375th Air Mobility Wing’s “Showcase on ICE.” He provides application development support to various units around base, including the 375th AMW, Air Mobility Command, and U.S. Transportation Command. He managed projects for 41 application developers and spearheaded a $4.8 million software development program supporting 212,000 users DOD-wide. For the Electronic Flight Bag, he facilitated development of weight and balance apps for C-130s, KC-10s, and KC-135s, which cut pre-flight planning time by about 30 minutes and reduced errors by 95 percent. In addition, he oversaw the creation of an iPad study app to facilitate in-flight qualification training for aircrew members, and he guided the development of an aeromedical evacuation equipment weight and power calculator that automated aircraft circuit use to ensure patient safety on 3,200 flights per year.
