Combat Paper
Finished paper that had been stenciled with a non-project’s name, Combat Paper, is displayed after Saint Louis University Air Force ROTC Cadets spent time making their own paper, St. Louis, Missouri, April 1, 2015. Combat Paper Project uses the traditional hand papermaking process to facilitate workshops, and exhibit veteran artwork that is created from uniforms transformed into paper. Combat Paper teamed up with The David J. Drakulich Foundation for Freedom of Expression to share with the cadets the art of paper making. The foundation, established by parents Tina and Joseph, is in honor of their son, Army Sgt. David Drakulich, who was killed in Afghanistan in January 2008.
