On Display: USTRANSCOM unviels Transport Isolation System
Maj. Gen. Scott M. Hanson and others look through the Transport Isolation System at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, Jan. 23, 2015. The TIS is designed to provide aeromedical evacuation for patients with known or suspected exposure to infectious diseases and protects support personnel and aircrew from exposure. It does this by maintaining a negative interior pressure that keeps contaminants inside the unit’s chambers. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Tristin English)
