Live Fire Training
Saint Louis Downtown, St. Louis Regional and Mid-America St. Louis airports respond to a fire while training with the 375 Civil Engineer Fire Fighters June 9, 2014 at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The training was a part of a live fire exercise that the 375th CEF facilitated for the local fire departments. Aircraft rescue and firefighting capability is a portion of the FAA?s certification. "Without the partnership with Scott Air Force Base, we would have to spend more money and send our guys further away for training," said Chief Mike Mavrogeorge, chief of the St. Louis Downtown airport fire department.
