Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center ribbon cutting
Col. Brad Burton, 375th Medical Group commander, cuts the ribbon for the new Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center bus with Senior Master Sgt. Rebecca Gabel and the MVRBC staff during the ribbon cutting ceremony July 25 Scott AFB, Ill. The new MVRBC bus has more room for improved donor flow, allowing donors to move in and out quickly to produce more units of blood. Since June of 2011 MVRBC has conducted 26 mobile blood drives, collected 797 units of blood, and saved 2,331 lives in the local community. Scott AFB annually produces more blood than any other mobile blood drive sponsor in the St. Louis district. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Tristin English)
