Gen. Arthur Lichte, Air Mobility Command commander, presented Capt. David Burnett, 375th Military Personnel Flight commander, with the Airman’s Medal before a Company Grade Officers’ Council luncheon at the Scott Club on Oct. 22. Captain Burnett received the award for an outstanding act of heroism performed on June 22 when he risked his own life to save the lives of a mother and two small children who were trapped in their vehicle following a massive car accident.
