Air Force DEPpers Launch New Career

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill -- Col. Gary Goldstone, 375th Air Mobility Wing commander, administers the oath of enlistment to 38 members of the U.S. Air Force Delayed Entry Program prior to the start of Monster Jam held at the Edwards Jones Dome, Feb. 6, 2010 in St. Louis, Mo. The newly enlisted members were able to stay and enjoy the Monster Jam event after the ceremony. All potential servicemembers enter the DEP for up to a year as inactive Reserves as they wait for a basic military training date so that it coincides with technical school availability, high school graduation, or to have more time to research the military.
