The power of support

Master Sgt. John Messer, Air Mobility Command, walks with Eddith Sullivan during the survivors lap at this year’s Relay for Life event June 17. Sergeant Messer is a survivor of skin cancer. He was diagnosed in April 13, 2010. He attended the event with his wife Jamie, daughters Sara and Megan and son Alex. “My family is the support that got me through my treatment. They were there for me the whole time taking care of me when I could not leave the house,” he said. Relay for Life is an American Cancer Society fundraising event.
