SDDC Change of Command
Air Mobility Command Band of Mid-America, under the direction of 1st Lt. Dustin Doyle and Tech. Sgt. Eugene King, plays Ruffles and Flourishes and the Generals’ March during the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command change of command ceremony March 27 at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The earliest use of Ruffles and Flourishes can be traced to the time of England’s Lord Marlborough who used kettle drums to announce his arrival. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Senior Airman Tristin English)
