Airman 1st Class Andrew Norris, 375th Communication Squadron airfield systems maintenance apprentice, performs maintenance on the glide slope system Jan. 25, 2013 at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The glide slope is a ground based system that provides precision guidance to an aircraft approaching and landing on a runway, using radio signals and lighting arrays.
