Wildlife Management
Great blue herons perch on a tree top in the marshlands outside Scott Air Force Base, May 1, 2013. Great blue herons hunt along but they typically nest in colonies, which can cause problems for any planes landing at Mid America airport and Scott AFB runway. The larger the colony the more birds there are flying around the runways which can eventually make it difficult for planes landing and taking off trying to avoid the birds.
