20/20: Optometrists keep an eye on Team Scott
Maj. Kerry Phelan, 375th Aeromedical Squadron optometrist, uses a corneal topographer to inspect a patients eye at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, Jan. 16, 2015. The corneal topographer is used to measure the shape of the cornea, the clear tissue at the front of the eye, and is helpful in planning LASIK and PRK surgery, diagnosing corneal disorders and assessing contact lens fits.
