Pool prep begins Published May 29, 2009 By 375th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Office 375th AW SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- The Scott pools opened for the summer swim season Saturday, and are a free benefit for all DoD card holders and their guests this season. The pool can help improve fitness with lap swimming or the staff can help teach students to swim with swim lessons scheduled throughout the summer. In addition, the pool can also be booked in advance for private pool parties. Lifeguards are on duty during pool hours to help ensure safety of all swimmers. Open Swim hours Fitness Center Pool Lap Swim: Monday- Friday, 6 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Open Swim: 7 days a week, 12:30-6:30 p.m. Wading Area: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Weekends and holidays, 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Private Parties The pool is available for booking of private parties and events. Available times are 7 p.m. to midnight, and reservations must be made seven days in advance to allow scheduling of lifeguards. Parties must last a minimum of two hours. Cost: Less than 50 guests, $80 51-100 guests, $120 101-150 guests, $140 151-200 guests, $180 201-250 guests, $220 $40 per additional hour per block of 50 people Parties with alcohol cannot have minors and cost an additional $20 per hour per 50 people. *Parties canceled by the staff due to weather before 4 p.m. the day of the party will be refunded or rescheduled. Parties canceled after 4 p.m. for any reason will be refunded everything above the first $40, plus cost of any hours used. Reservations can be made online at www.375fss.com
