375th AMW: Innovation, Communication, Excellence Published Aug. 21, 2015 By Col. Laura Lenderman 375th Air Mobility Wing commander SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- I am honored to be working side-by-side with a world class team of active duty, Guard, Reserve, and civilian Airmen all contributing to our mission of enabling rapid global mobility. There is no other wing in the Air Force with our unique and crucial capabilities. Not only are we the center of excellence for aeromedical evacuation, operational support airlift, and Total Force Associations, but we also provide the security, communications, medical, and installation support for over 30 mission critical partners. Our motto is "Help from Above." Those three simple words mean that we have the responsibility to lift up our work and to lift up each other in ways that enable us, and those we support, to successfully complete critical missions here at Scott AFB and around the globe. We must always remember that what we do here matters. And we must always remember that how we do what we do also matters. At the 375th AMW, we lift up our work around three guiding principles that are the foundation of our Wing: Innovation, Communication, and Excellence. Innovation The history of the 375th AMW is based on finding new solutions to challenges, and we must continue to think clearly and creatively to address the operational and fiscal realities that we face today and to prepare for those we will face in the future. Communication Our work requires consistent content flow across variable platforms using multiple media. The volume of our work requires that we strive for consistency, transparency and clarity in our communications. However, this is not enough to ensure that we are actually connecting. In order to reach our full potential, we must communicate in ways that honor and respect each other. And we must listen to each other. Excellence We are AMC's Showcase Wing ... the Wing where everyone wants to live and work! We maintain the highest standards and are committed to providing superior service. However, excellence has never been a stand-alone premise. This Wing cannot achieve excellence if we do not innovate, and we cannot innovate if we do not communicate. And not one of us can do this alone. We do this together. I look forward to lifting up this Wing, this installation, and this community with all of you by embracing innovation, communication, and excellence in order to be the best that each of us can be and to be the best Wing that we can be. Together, we succeed!
