Wing Q&A: Auto hobby paint booth, and Golf course restaurant changes

I was told we cannot use the paint booth at the Auto Hobby shop due to failed air flow tests. Can we look into this to see what can be done to get it certified? It’s a great asset that few other bases have.

Thank you for your inquiry into the operation of our paint booth. Indeed it is a great asset and benefit to our airmen and their families as few Air Force Bases have a paint booth in the Auto Crafts operation. As always, the safety of our Airmen, families, and employees is of paramount importance. As a result of the review that side-lined the paint booth, we have submitted a request to have the paint booth repaired and retested. We will post signage and notify you directly when it is back in operation. You may contact Scott Jenkins at 256-4230 if you need additional information.

At the golf course restaurant I have noticed that the prices have gone up and it seems that the burgers and buns have changed. Also, I was informed that the combos no longer include a drink. Why is this?

We are constantly reviewing the menu, quality of our products, and the offering at all our FSS facilities. As a way to allow our customers more flexibility in orders we have eliminated the “Combo” type offerings and now automatically include kettle chips and pickle spears as part of our burger and sandwich items.

We understand you have many options to dine on and off base and feel our quality offerings and options have been well received by the community. We will continue to review and adjust our menus as needed and your feedback is an important part of those reviews.
