Is there a possibility of having a flex schedule at Scott the way Keesler use to have?
Our mission in the 375th Air Mobility Wing does not lend itself to the compressed schedule. We have an active flying mission and the standard Air Force mission to organize, train, and equip in peacetime, as well as providing mission ready Airmen and equipment to the Combatant Commands. Additionally, our day to day mission involves providing extensive support to our mission partners, such as United States Transportation Command, Air Mobility Command, Surface Deployment & Distribution Command, and multiple other partners who are on duty at least five days a week, and in many cases operate 24/7 functions. In order to provide the best possible service and mission support, we need to maintain our current schedule. If you have current conflicts, please discuss them with your supervisor to see if there are additional options.
Why don’t we have more fitness classes offered at fitness center?
Thank you for this question, and it is a topic that I am personally very passionate about. We are continually evaluating new programs and offerings to the base, and we are always looking for new ideas. For example, starting next Tuesday we are adding a Yoga class from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and a High Intensity Training class from 11-11:30 a.m. Starting next Thursday, we are adding a Yoga class from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., all at the Fitness Center. If you have ideas on specific classes, please contact one of our Fitness Center staff to inquire about programs offered and opportunities to expand programming.
Do Airmen usually get PCS orders after being on station for three years?
Good question. Airmen receive PCS orders based on a wide variety of circumstances such as time on station, remote duty, career field needs, volunteering for certain duties, and many other reasons. There is no specific or exact target across the Air Force. You should talk to your supervision about opportunities for you and they can also put you in touch with the right personnel for your career field and needs.

What can be done about the excessive speeding on base?
Thank you for your question. First, we urge everyone to please follow posted speed limits and if you see an inherently dangerous situation, please report it to Security Forces either by calling 911 for emergencies or 256-2223 for routine matters. Our Security Forces personnel are routinely patrolling the roadways, using “speed signs” to reinforce the speed limits, and ticketing offenders when appropriate. It requires commitment from the entire community to maintain safe roadways, so please help us “champion” this effort by leading by example and encouraging your friends and coworkers to do the same.
With the rise in popularity and ownership of electric vehicles, does Scott AFB have any plans to install charging stations for employee use?
Thank you for your question. At this time, there are no plans to install charging stations on base. Current Air Force policy states that the installation of charging stations is a non-appropriated fund activity and at this time AAFES has not determined there to be enough demand to pursue installation of charging stations. Is there a chance that the Shiloh Gate could open up two lanes at 5:30 a.m. instead of 5:45 a.m. to keep the single line of traffic from backing up all the way to the Illinois National Guard?
Thank you for your question and feedback. We have recently made some adjustments to our gate procedures and continue to make every effort to have two lanes open starting at 5:30 a.m. every work day. Also, we actively monitor traffic throughout the day and adjust our operations to minimize wait times and disruption.

Why are the PT uniforms one-size fits all?
Air Force PT gear is available in a variety of sizes from multiple extra small to multiple extra large. If the Exchange is temporarily out of stock on a particular size or if you note a recurring lack of a size, you should contact the store manager to resolve the problem.
