The 375th Dental Squadron's Department of Endodontics at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois is seeking patients needing root canal therapy for treatment in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program.

Applicants must meet one or more of the following criteria:

1. Be a military retiree
2. Be a family member of a retiree
3. Be a family member of active duty not enrolled in the TRICARE Dental Program

Additionally, applicants must have a recent diagnosis made by a dentist for an endodontic condition requiring root canal therapy.

Eligible patients must obtain a written consult from their referring dentist and fax it to the Endodontics Department at 618-256-1709. Patients may also drop off written consults at the Scott AFB dental clinic during normal duty hours.

Patients will be selected for treatment based on the needs of the endodontic training program. For more information about this program, call 618-256-2144.

In addition to the Department of Endodontics seeking patients to support the AEGD program, the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery clinic is actively treating patients under the same benefits.

We are in need of patients with routine surgical needs such as extractions, biopsies and supporting civilian providers with surgical treatment plans. Patients requiring these services may call 618-256-7503 with questions or to schedule an appointment.
