Air Force Assistance Fund assists veterans, families Published April 6, 2016 By Airman Daniel Garcia 375th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- The 2016 Air Force Assistance Fund, or AFAF, campaign, which runs through April 20, is a way for Team Scott to contribute to multiple charities that will directly impact other Airmen and military families. The campaign highlights four specific charities: the Air Force Aid Society, Air Force Village Foundation, the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation and the Air Force Enlisted Village. This year's goal Air Force-wide is $6.78 million, a million dollars more than last year's goal and $300,000 more than the total donations last year. The installation's goal this year is to raise $119,700. Scott AFB raised more than $116,000 in 2015. Donation opportunities will be available at the exchange and commissary and in individual units by using the hard-copy form. Online donations are not available yet. Retirees can contribute by filling out the form and mailing it in, and should visit www.afassistancefund.org for more information.
