Team Scott welcomes 20 new Honorary Commanders as Class of 2027 Published Dec. 16, 2025 375th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Team Scott has selected 20 community leaders from the St. Louis metropolitan region to join its 2027 Class of Honorary Commanders. The Honorary Commander program provides a two-year, in-depth orientation to the missions, programs, and assets of Scott Air Force Base. It aims to educate and increase community leaders' knowledge and understanding of the military and the installation. The program matches each honorary commander with a military counterpart to build one-on-one rapport and facilitate direct engagement with base units. “This program helps them increase their understanding of our military missions, heritage, and get to know our amazing Airmen, while also giving us a platform to explore mutual areas of interest,” said Col. Matt Collins, 375th Air Mobility Wing and Installation commander. “We’re looking forward to hosting these leaders for the next two years, and we welcome them to Team Scott!” Throughout the program, Honorary Commanders will receive briefings and tours of Scott’s global mobility missions and gain more in-depth involvement with their assigned squadrons and units. They will also meet service members from all ranks and career specialties across the base. Units across the base participating alongside the 375th Air Mobility Wing include the Army’s Transportation Command, the 932nd Airlift Wing (Reserve), the 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing, the 345th Recruiting Squadron, and the 15th Operational Weather Squadron. The new class members represent business, government, and healthcare specialties throughout St. Clair and Madison Counties in Illinois, and St. Louis, Missouri.
