Scott Air Force Base conducted a major accident response exercise today to test emergency response capabilities.

Led by the 375th Air Mobility Wing Inspector General team, the scenario involved a mock vehicle threat in a crowded area and the identification of a simulated explosive device.

Airmen from various units across Scott AFB, including the 375th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department, 375th Security Forces Squadron, 375th Medical Group, and 375th Emergency Management, coordinated throughout the exercise. Their coordinated efforts supported a realistic training environment and demonstrated the importance of synchronized response across base units during emergencies.

The exercise provided an opportunity to evaluate Scott AFB’s emergency procedures in a controlled environment. The training's outcomes will inform future planning efforts to support overall mission readiness.
