Swinging into action: local Scout brings ADA compliance to Scott Published Aug. 26, 2022 375th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Elise Toth, Scouts BSA Troop 144 member, is presented a coin by Col. Rob Lowe, 375th Air Mobility Wing vice commander and Chief Master Sgt. Thomas Blount, 375th AMW command chief, at Warrior Park on Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, Aug. 11, 2022. In support of her Citizenship in the Community Badge, Toth inquired with a community leader as to why none of the installation playground swings were compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. After jumping through several hurdles to secure funding, Richard Cole, 375th Civil Engineer Squadron installation management chief and Mark McCoy, 375th CES pollution prevention and cultural resource manager, were able to purchase the swing by classifying it as an outreach project. Thanks to Toth, the new swing was installed on Aug. 10, 2022, and is now available to the installation.
