SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. – The 375th Air Mobility Wing will hold its 34th annual Retiree Appreciation Day at the Scott Air Force Base Event Center October 19th, 2019. The event is free to local military retirees and their dependents.

Scheduled events include information booths from base agencies and local partners including the Airman and Family Readiness Center, the Red Cross and a Space-Available travel presentation.

In the afternoon, Military Personnel Flight members will be available to issue or renew retiree ID cards at Building P-10.

Doors open at 8:15 a.m., and ID card issue will begin at 1 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

Retiree Appreciation Day is a way for 375th AMW members to show their appreciation to the more than 20,000 military retirees who live in the local area and thank them for their service, said 2nd Lt. Robert Bornhauser, Retiree Appreciation Day coordinator.

“The concept of taking care of our Airmen doesn’t stop when you stop serving,” Bornhauser said. “This is our way to be able to give back and take care of those who served before us.”
