CFC Update Published Nov. 22, 2005 By 2nd Lt. Karoline Scott 375th Airlift Wing Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Nearly a month into this year’s Combined Federal Campaign drive, the 375 AW has almost reached its goals. The CFC is an annual event designed as a way for federal employees to give directly to numerous charitable organizations nationwide. The solicitation period of the campaign began Oct. 7 and officially ends Nov. 13. The statistics from last week were tallied and show that many of the 375 AW squadrons are meeting their goals both in unit contact rates as well as amount pledged. Most squadrons have contacted well over 90 percent of their personnel about the CFC drive. The 375th Surgical Operations, Aerospace Medicine, Dental and Civil Engineer squadrons lead the pack with a 100 percent squadron contact rate. As of Nov. 8, the wing on whole has raised an impressive $110,954, or 86 percent, of the $129,509 goal. Last week’s statistics show that the 375th Comptroller Squadron was the front runner with pledges having raised 209 percent of their goal. The 375th Aerospace Medicine Squadron was close behind having raised 204 percent. The Surgical Operation Squadron with 125 percent, Mission Support Squadron with 113 percent, and 458th Airlift Squadron with 103 percent. The statistics for the Vanguard Division of the CFC Gateway Campaign, or Scott Air Force Base wing and tenant units, show that $399,980 or 50 percent, of the $800,447 goal has been raised as of Nov. 8. If you haven’t donated already, there’s still time. Contact your squadron representative and help make a difference in this season of giving.
