MSS flights change hours Published Nov. 5, 2007 By 375th Mission Support Squadron 375th Mission Support Squadron Scott Air Force Base, Ill. -- As of Nov. 1, the 375th Mission Support Squadron Military Personnel Flight, Education Center and Civilian Personnel Flight will have revised customer service hours from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The reduced customer service hours will provide MPF Airmen with the training required to increase their quality of service as they forge through unprecedented transformation efforts. In addition, this will allow them to bridge the gap between lagging fielded technology and manpower shortages. "To minimize the impact to our customers, we studied historical data and found we serviced between 92 percent and 95 percent of our customers during the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.," according to Lt. Col. Susan Schlacter, 375th Mission Support Squadron commander. "We determined it to be more cost effective for us to focus on mission critical training and marketing of personnel services delivery capabilities during the hours of 7:30 to 9 a.m. and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. After all, about 58 percent of the services we previously offered in the MPF are now available online through the virtual MPF Web site or the Air Force Contact Center. We must ensure Airmen know the tools that are out there and are trained on how to use them.' "The 375th MSS is aggressively looking at better, more efficient ways of doing business' 'For instance, we are deploying a Web-based sign in that will allow customers to sign in for identification cards while at their workstations. This will allow customers to sign up early, then show up at the MPF at their scheduled time." In addition, the 932nd Airlift Wing and 126th Air Refueling Wing will be available for processing ID cards on the following days and times: 932nd AW-Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the 126th ARW is open Monday through Thursday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and noon to 3:30 p.m. along with Fridays from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and noon to 2:30 p.m. The 375th MSS appreciates Joint Total Force Scotts support and patience as they work through this period of unprecedented transformation.
