Have fun, win cash with MatchUP Published May 29, 2008 By Air Mobility Command Services SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE,Ill. -- Beginning Sunday and continuing through the month of August, Air Mobility Command personnel and their family members are encouraged to see how they match up. "MatchUP is AMC's summertime program where participants can win some great prizes by simply participating in various activities at their base," said Col. Benjamin Trotter, Services Operations Division Air Mobility Command Services chief. "It's a tremendous opportunity to reward our Airmen and their families for all their hard work and, at the same time, help introduce them to the many benefits of base life." This year's program will award more than 12,000 prizes in 90 days. The top three prizes will be cash prizes. MatchUp also offers interactive play and more guaranteed prizes for each AMC installation. Each week, registered participants can compete for randomly selected guaranteed weekly cash prizes at their base. In addition, several AMC Guard and Reserve units are joining and will also have a guaranteed weekly cash winner. At the end of the program, each base will also have five additional guaranteed cash winners. Services coupons will also be offered as instant prizes when registering game pieces on-line. On-line coupons will give the recipient their choice of six options to redeem at various Services facilities. MatchUp is based on the TV game show "Concentration". MatchUP is a web-based program in which participants attempt to match up various symbols in the fewest number of turns and in the fastest time. "We're really excited to offer another summer of AMC MatchUP fun and excitement," said Scott Black, AMC Marketing Director. "Everyone is so intently focused on completing the mission and it's a great feeling to play a small part in helping them spend time with their families... and possibly win some awesome prizes". Players receive game pieces for participating in MatchUp designated events. Each game piece is worth an entry into the grand prize drawings and is also a chance to try playing MatchUp. Players register their game pieces on-line at www.amcmatchup.com or use the toll-free MatchUp hotline at 1-888-597-9960. Each individual's participation in MatchUp can help their base win thousands of dollars toward improving the quality of life at their installation. Thanks to program sponsors, USAA, Coca-Cola, Dell and Tyson Foods, AMC's MatchUp program will award more cash and prizes than any program in the history of the command. Each installation will offer a variety of programs, activities and services wherein participants can earn MatchUp game pieces.
