Colonel Al Hunt, 375th Airlift Wing commander, has authorized the MatchUp Family Fun Picnic as an alternative duty location for the 375th Airlift Wing.
The MatchUp Picnic, sponsored by the 375th Services Squadron, is scheduled for June 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Teen Center and Airman Leadership School pavilion. Free hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork, chicken and a variety of Coke beverages will be available. Everyone affiliated with Scott Air Force Base is invited to attend.
"This event supports team camaraderie, family togetherness and is an outstanding quality of life initiative," said Colonel Hunt.
The MatchUp Picnic will also offer entertainment. The Radio Disney Dance Team will be performing. Antique and enhanced vehicles will be on display. A rock climbing wall and giant slide will be available. The Tourism Bureau, Mid-America Airport and Allegiant Air will also be giving away trips to Orlando, Florida.
The picnic is another opportunity to earn Match Up game pieces, or to sign-up for those who have not already done so.
"The goal of the MatchUp Picnic is to thank all the Services Squadron customers for their year-long support and patronage," said Lisa Timmerman, 375th Services Squadron marketing specialist. "Base personnel will not want to miss out on all the great food, entertainment and giveaways. And it's free."
