JTF Scott member receives top military scholar award

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. --  Tech. Sgt. Steven Jones of Air Mobility Command received the Military Scholar Award for Undergraduate Studies during commencement exercises at Amridge University in Montgomery, Ala.

The Military Scholar Award recognizes enlisted graduates who have excelled in scholarly achievement during their studies at the University. Recipients are nominated by a university professor for their outstanding leadership and professional demeanor.

This prestigious award is given annually to one undergraduate and one graduate student by Amridge University to honor the sacrifice and commitment of all service members and armed forces veterans who have served in defense of the United States of America.

Sergeant Jones is the 8th recipient of the Military Scholar Award for Undergraduate Studies.
