Base housing update Published Aug. 28, 2008 By Housing Management Office SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill -- Construction in Lincoln's Landing is now complete. The Lincoln's Landing Community Center is also finished and open to all The Landings at Scott residents. It is important to remember that new lawns need frequent daily watering, especially during hot, dry weather. Soaking the trees and shrubs twice a week when the weather is dry will help them establish a healthy root system. The resident is responsible for maintaining flower beds and the area inside fences. Tools are available at self help for check out. Yard sales are limited to the second Saturday of each month. All signs must be free standing and may be posted in your yard the morning of the sale and must be promptly removed at the conclusion of the sale. Signs may not be posted on street lights, utility poles, signposts or in common areas. Yard sale information can also be included on the Landing's website. Details should be e-mailed to khansen@prmc.com and include address, what items for sale and the month the yard sale will be held. Residents may also have notices placed in the notice board located at each community center. All notices should be brought on a 4x6 card to the reception desk and will be posted for 30 days on a space available basis. Resident representatives are needed. The Landings at Scott hosts a Community Development Update meeting on the second Wednesday of each month in an effort to keep residents informed on housing renovation, construction and associated issues. The meetings are held at the Community Center in Lincoln's Landing located at 1504 Sentry Court. The meetings are open to all interested The Landings at Scott residents.
