A first of its kind graduation ceremony was held last week for the Air Force Fellows Joint Mobility Intern Program.

Receiving their Master's of Military Operational Arts and Science degrees were Maj. Daniel Cook, Maj. Allen Horsens, Maj. Donald Kirkland, Maj. David Owens and Maj. Brett Sowell.

The special guest for the graduation was Lt. Gen. Allen Peck, Air University commander at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., who spoke briefly about the program and the graduates. Lt. Gen. Vern "Rusty" Findley, Air Mobility Command vice commander, joined him at the ceremony.

The graduates were the first to participate in the yearlong program and will now use their newly gained knowledge in various capacities at AMC for a two-year follow up rotation.

At any given time, there are between 160 and 170 Airmen participating in the Fellows Program.

Another class participating in the same program as the recent graduates began Aug. 3.

Of the five graduates, one is already in a position as a legislative liaison to AMC Commander Gen. Arthur Lichte, another will go to the 618th Tanker Airlift Control Center, and the other three will serve roles in AMC Air, Space and Information Operations, Logistics and Strategic Plans and Requirements.
