They, along with the Army's Golden Knights Parachute Team, will be among numerous aerial performances and static display aircraft planned for the annual event, which is free and open to the public. "We are excited to have the Canadian Snowbirds and the Army's Golden Knights perform at this year's show," said Col. Gary Goldstone, 375th Airlift Wing commander. "It's going to be a great show, and we invite the entire St. Louis Metropolitan area to join us. Along with seeing these great performers, the airshow allows us the opportunity to show you the Air Force -- up close and personal." To commemorate the Centennial of Flight, the Snowbirds will be conducting 100 flybys of 100 Canadian towns or cities during the course of their show season, and will perform in 65 airshows this year. The Army's Golden Knights travel all over the country performing aerial demonstrations at airshows and special events in support of Army recruiting goals. They compete nationally and internationally at various skydiving competitions, continuously bringing home the gold, silver and bronze medals. They are the most successful Department of Defense sports team. Scott AFB has set up a Website where people can stay updated on the latest information: www.scottairshow.com .
