Match Up picnic Friday at Scott Published June 10, 2009 By Airman 1st Class Amber Kelly-Herard 375th Airlift Wing Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- To start the Match Up season, the 375th Force Support Squadron will host the Match Up Picnic Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. near the Airman Leadership School pavilion area. "Team Scott supports us all year, so this is our way of saying thanks to the base," said Lisa Timmerman, 375th FSS marketing specialist. The picnic is an alternate duty location for all Scott personnel and everything there will be free. Food served includes pulled pork sandwiches, barbecued chicken, hot dogs, beverages and more. There will also be game booths, information booths, a vehicle display and inflatables for children to play on. Various radio stations will also be present for entertainment. Participants will also have the chance to earn Match Up game pieces. Match Up is a web-based game, based on an old TV game called "Concentration," that allows participants to match symbols and win prizes. Game pieces will be awarded at various 375th FSS facilities. Prizes such as $10,000 and a $3,000 dream vacation will be awarded, but participants need at least two game pieces to be eligible. The 375th FSS has given everyone their first introductory code for free: 9999-2009-999. Additionally, AMC bases compete against each other and the base with the most participants will receive base support prizes. Active duty, Guard, Reserve, retirees, family members and civilian employees are eligible to play. Match Up is AMC's way of rewarding Airmen for working hard, and the game promotes service's facilities. For more information, call 256-3766 or visit www.375fss.com. Match Up pieces can be redeemed at www.amcmatchup.com. The Match Up hotline's number is 1-888-597-9960.
