9/11 remembrance run Published Sept. 11, 2009 By Airman 1st Class Amber Kelly-Herard 375th Airlift Wing Public Affairs SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill -- Today, the Air Force Network Integration Center hosted Team Scott's 9/11 remembrance run. The day began at 6 a.m. with all of Team Scott stretching in preparation for their 2-mile run. A special posting of the colors was performed by the U.S. Transportation Command Joint Color Guard, then a moment of silence was held. After the base was filled with runners chanting Air Force songs. Finally, the run ended, but the victims of the 9/11 attacks will never be forgotten.
