Legal assistance is available online Published Jan. 28, 2010 By 375th Air Mobility Wing Legal Office SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Legal Assistance is available at www.aflegalassistance.com. The United States Air Force Legal Operations Agency has created www.aflegalassistance.com, which is public Web site available from both personal and government computers. The site allows individuals who are authorized our service to: 1. Provide online feedback about legal services; 2. Access current and general legal assistance information online; and 3. Complete legal worksheets online. Prior to visiting any Air Force Legal Office, access the site at the above address. This site allows members to access self-service information on various legal topics and allows them to fill out worksheets for wills, living wills, powers of attorney and general/special (specific) powers of attorney. After answering all of the questions, and upon completion, a ticket number will be assigned for each worksheet completed. This ticket is needed to check into the Legal Office. The ticket number will also be on the printed worksheet. The completed worksheet will be stored in the Legal Office's system for 90 days. After that time it will be automatically deleted. The worksheets on the web site are not legal documents. All legal documents are provided at the Legal Office in person. All of the information contained within the web site is for educational and information purposes, and should not substitute as competent legal advice by a licensed attorney. Using this Web site is not a pre-requisite to visit the Legal Office.
