Family spotlight: What makes the Ford family outstanding? Published March 10, 2010 By Airman and Family Readiness Center 375th Air Mobility Wing SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- The Ford family is a well-rounded, dedicated Air Force family. Master Sgt. Jason Ford and his wife, Sarah, have been committed to each other for the last 16 years. Together, they have two children, Justin, 13, and Seth, 11. Both boys volunteer their time to the community, are involved with sports and extracurricular activities, and love math. Sergeant Ford is currently the Contingency Support Flight Chief for the 375th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, and was recently deployed to Afghanistan. Sarah has been working as an Educational Sign Language Interpreter for the last four years. She recently re-enrolled in school to work toward an elementary education degree. Sergeant Ford and his wife volunteer their time with the Boy Scouts and coaching sports teams. Together, they have also volunteered at a school, coordinating recycling drives. In addition, as the 375th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron Key Spouse for the last year, Sarah went above and beyond to create and maintain the vital link between the unit and the families. In this high military ops tempo, as well as busy family life, the Fords have still found the time to keep all the aspects in their lives balanced and meaningful.
