More than 250 Airmen from the 375th Air Mobility Wing returned from Volk Field Combat Readiness and Training Center, Wis., Saturday and Sunday after completing the Operational Readiness Inspection.

The Airmen from the 375th AMW partnered with the Minnesota Air National Guard's (ANG) 133rd Airlift Wing (AW), the Puerto Rico ANG's 156th AW and the 94th Aerial Port Squadron from Robins Air Force Base, Ga., for the week-long inspection that ended Sunday.

Working in conjunction with each another proved fruitful with units banding together to form one air expeditionary wing.

"It was great to see the teamwork by everyone in the (deployed) wing to accomplish the mission," said Lt. Col. Dirk Porath, 375th Operations Group deputy commander. "Everyone worked really hard. It was great to see it all come together."

During the inspection, the Air Mobility Command Inspector General team evaluated the wing's initial deployment response, mission support, employment of forces and the ability to survive and operate in a wartime scenario.

Col. Greg Haase, 133rd AW commander, said, "as a team we have practiced for over a year. We have mastered and perfected these skills and showed the IG what we could do.
"We have used this inspection to do great things and we have done them with pride and professionalism that we, as Airmen, are trained to do."

Wings are graded using a five-tier rating system that enables the IG to assess the readiness of the force. Those scores are: outstanding, excellent, satisfactory, marginal, and unsatisfactory. The results of the inspection will be announced Friday at 11 a.m. in Hangar 1.
