375th AMW receives excellent rating on ORI

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Airmen from the 375th Air Mobility Wing received some much anticipated news today: An "Excellent" rating from the Air Mobility Command Inspector General for the recent Operational Readiness Inspection.

The IG announced the grade during an outbrief in Hangar 1, which culminated the wing's successful, year-long journey to the ORI.

"Congratulations to the 375th AMW; this was well deserved," said Col. Mark Schmitz, AMC IG team lead, following the announcement of the excellent rating. "I know a lot of hard work and preparation was put into this inspection, and it paid off. This was one of the best inspections that I've seen in the past four years. I'm more than proud to sign-off on the report that the 375th AMW is a ready to go!"

Col. Gary Goldstone, 375th AMW commander, said he was proud of the wing members for Enabling Combat Power.

"Congratulations to you all," he said. "This was a well-deserved excellent rating. You exceeded the commander's intent to accomplish a safe mission both here and in the deployed location. We are ready. We are compliant. And we deliver combat capability!"
